There is a craft beer place here in Ho Chi Minh City run by some Americans. None of them have beards although the Head Brewer does wear a baseball cap.
Each month they have light and dark beers with various added flavours - usually flavoured with locally available fruit, herbs, spices. Some are excellent and some so-so. Always interesting to go along and find out as an alternative to bland corporate lagers.
They serve them too cold though to appreciate the flavours so best to cover and let them warm up a bit.

Beer making is essentially an industrial process. However most small brewers are putting lots of craft and ingredients into their beers. The term will tell you nothing about the beer you might drink though. Every beer is different. That's whats great about them.

No there isn't. It's a meaningless marketing word.
Some are trying to argue that it means at its made on a small scale, but that's not true either. Blue Moon calls itself a craft beer.

My under standing of Craft Beer is a small/home brewer.
One of my favorites is the Goose Island Brewry in Chicago, their IPA is superb.
They've got very big but still has that small brewer feel to it.

I had some Craft Beer last fucking night...Big Dog Brewery here in Las Vegas.
good stuff it was, heading to Utah this weekend and know a place that has Zion Gold on tap to will have a nice pint of that shit!
